This module will help you understand which changes result from the rise of information systems (IS) for the enterprise. IS are credited for increasing competitiveness, efficiency and profitability of companies. They are also blamed for increasing anonymity of the workplace, breakdown of communication and growing intransparency.  They are therefore involved in the global economic downturn, since international banking is highly dependent on IS.
