HTML & CSS

Training in how to use HyperText Markup Language (HTML) for web page layout and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for web page design is beyond this course – there is not enough time to do this in class. However, if you get into blogging with WordPress, you will get into themes, because that’s where (some of) the fun is! (Especially since WS09 when all student projects will be run from self-hosted WordPress blogs.)

Luckily, there are great online resources on the web for you – and in class, I will only be too glad to indulge you in talking about and showing of your HTML and CSS skills – here are some free, highly interactive tutorials – i.e. you can try things out and see what you get immediately:

You may envy students coming after you, because Axel Benz and I are conspiring to teach you HTML and CSS in the 1st semester so that you can use it in this course!
