Workflow

In the context of tools, workflow is an important aid. In short, it means “know what you need to do why and when”.

Beginning of course – week 2 You Get the feed for this course by pressing the orange “RSS” button in the upper right corner and add it to your favourite reader & create a netvibes account where you can add the feed, too Receive automatic updates with each new post
Beginning of course – week 2 You Register with Wordpress, create own blog and email URL with your student ID (and your course ID) to Matthias Your very own blog – yay!
Beginning of course – week 2 Your team Meet to discuss & decide on project; create exposition (using blueprint provided) and add it to our course wiki in ILIAS Project exposition – something to hold on to
Weekly You Read course update on this blog; take notes for questions and discussion; comment online Questions and notes for class
Weekly You Write at least one blog entry – this will be checked! Article on your blog
Weekly You Write at least one comment on another student’s blog – this will be checked! Comment in another student’s blog
Weekly Your team Meet to discuss project progress Project meeting protocol
Every 2 weeks until end of Dec Your team Bring meeting protocol; come to coaching with Prof B Project report, rapport and support
week 17/18 Your team Present your team project in front of the class. Printed handout or copies of slides must be handed in by 12 February 2010, 12 pm including filled cover sheet for presentations signed by all team members to pass the course – no cover sheet = no grade
End of course – week 19 You Deliver filled in & signed term paper cover sheet and printout of personal blog start page (held together only by a paper clip) to me by 12 February 2010, 12 pm, the latest to pass the course – amounts to 50% of grading
End of course – week 19 Your team Deliver filled in & signed (by every group member) group presentation cover sheet and printout presentation handout (held together only by a paper clip) to me by 12 February 2010, 12 pm the latest to pass the course – amounts to 50% of grading
End of course – week 19 You Upload an exported XML version of your personal blog in the directory “/student blogs” clearly identified by your student ID – by 12 February 2010, 12 pm the latest. Confirm via email to to Matthias to pass the course – no upload = no grading of your term paper
End of course – week 19 Your team Upload an exported XML version of your student in the directory “/team blogs” clearly identified by your project name – by 12 February 2010, 12 pm the latest. Confirm via email to Matthias to pass the course – no upload = no grading of your term project
